There are always 2 rails at our vintage fairs. One is for the 'source material', i.e the vintage silk kimonos themselves which can be bought 'as is' which works especially well for the short jacket styles and the other is for items made from the vintage silks which vary from things to be worn in vintage style or those of a more contemporary nature. These last are still 'vintage' because of the material they're made from. I also have some fabric pieces to sell for those who like to use them in their own projects.
If customers don't see what they want they can order it up...choose a fabric to base something on or adapt a kimono to fit or re-style one. The possibilities are endless for 'retropolitan' and 'muggle' alike! Personally, I sit in both camps! :)
